Based in the country's oldest spa town, Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, the group is easily accessible to the major cities, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Richmond, as well as smaller cities and towns in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Within commuting distance of two international airports, more distant venues are also readily accommodated.
TarabRaqs Entertains
In an age of electronica and mulit-tasking, TarabRaqs reunites audiences with the singularity of live performance and the uniqueness of bellydance. In a manner seen in only the virtuoso of any art, bellydancer Jensuya evokes the grace of the dance while magically eroding "Little Egypt" stereotypes and cliches.
TarabRaqs Educates
TarabRaqs brings to life Middle Eastern culture in a way most textbooks and news accounts leave out. From classroom lectures to school assemblies, TarabRaqs performances are high energy costumed shows staged to educate through entertainment K-12 Graders in the geography, history, language, music, dance and culture of the Middle East.
